February Alphabet Sketch Challenge- INFORMATION

 ðŸ‘ˆ Click on the calendar

 #Febalphabetsketch

IT IS ALMOST HERE!!!

FABULOUS FEBRUARY SKETCH FRENZY

January is coming to a close and your admins thought it might be fun to offer a prompt for sketching practice during the month of February. So here it is! The February Alphabet Sketch Challenge.

Thanks for this list, Amy!

 #Febalphabetsketch

WHAT IS THIS?: Many of us are opting to sketch from home these days in response to Covid safety so we've provided some Resources (see below)Some of us might feel like getting out and capturing a sketch from real life out in the world as well!  Anything goes and we must all do what feels safe and right at this time.
Perhaps you have another idea for a letter one day, sketch that!! The point is to sketch as much as we can. The photo prompts are just ideas and jumping off points.

RESOURCE IMAGES TO SKETCH:
In case you need daily inspiration, Amy Bogard created the list above. She took photos for each letter/day. For example, February 1 = the letter A so she photographed a Cincinnati classic: Avril Bleh Meats.  For Feb 2, she photographed Bellarmine Chapel on the XU Campus, and so on.
Member Scott Ledyard has provided a very nice variety of additional photos.
Members are encouraged to use and/or add to the albums on Facebook.

WHEN TO SKETCH:  Some folks might sketch every day. Some maybe just once a week. Again, anything goes. It's just fun to keep drawing sights from our beautiful city and of course, to share them.  You will notice that 2 days remain after Z=2/26. February 27th & 28th are planned as catching-up and sharing days.

WHERE TO SHARE:

On our Facebook page onto dated albums:

Post your Sketches 2/1-7, A - G

Post your urban sketch, TAG US using the @cincyurbansketchers handle and also the #uskCincinnati hashtag so Robin can repost your work on our Official IG page Additional hashtags: #usk, #urbanskethchers, #cincyurbansketchers

On this Blog:  Loni will attempt to pick-up images from FB and repost here.  If you have a website you'd like to associate with your work, please indicate it on your FB post.

We hope you have fun with this and post all your sketches to keep each other inspired through these somewhat bleak winter days. Best of luck and have fun!!
