CINCINNATI ART MUSEUMJAN 26, 202411:00 am - 1:00 PM

Let's mix it up a little!

Instead of the zoo, we'll meet at the Cincinnati Art Museum.

Instead of 10:00 am, we'll meet at 11:00 am.

The art museum has an interesting exhibit called Clearly Indigenous: Native Visions Reimagined in Glass. Not sure we can sketch the exhibit, but there are lots of options. Admission is free to the museum but the Indigenous exhibition costs $12, $8 for seniors and free to CAM Members (save $2 if you order you order online).

Meet in the lobby at 11.

←Click on Calendar for events and updates

We are co-hosting an exhibit of Urban Sketchers work with and at Caza Sikes Gallery on Madison Road in Oakley.

Each participant will have the opportunity to display 1 sketch from each of 3 or 4 different (recent) official Urban Sketcher, BoUrban Sketcher and UrBean Sketcher outings. The artists’ reception will take place at Caza Sikes Gallery on Friday April 19 at 5:00 pm.

IT IS SO EASY TO PARTICIPATE:

•

Join up with your fellow Cincinnati Urban Sketchers at any of the events posted on Facebook during February and/or March, 2024 (also USkC instagram and USkC blog).

•

Either use a separate piece of paper, be prepared to remove a page from your sketchbook, or make a good quality, high definition print from your sketchbook

•

Complete one artist information sheet and pay a $5 fee per entry.  This fee goes towards matting your piece, artist reception, etc.

•

We will be using mats with the following window sizes.  Make sure your image will fit in either a 4.5” x 6.5” or 7.5” x 9.5” window.

JOSEPH BETH BOOKSELLERSRookwood PavilionJAN 20, 202410:00 am - noon

Join us for the third Saturday sketch outing to Joseph Beth Booksellers in Rookwood, Cincinnati, Ohio! Bring your sketchbook and some art supplies, sit anywhere and start sketching!

*** Couple things to remember for this outing: there will be people who are there to shop - so please be mindful of staying out of the way a bit and not be disruptive to Joseph Beth's business. There will also be a Story time at 10:30 somewhere in the store, probably over by the kids area, so let's also be mindful of that.
We'll meet out front of the main doors at 10am.
Parking is available in their lot.
We'll do a sketch throwdown at 11:45, location TBD.
No artistic skills necessary, all skill levels and ages welcome, judgement free zone. This event is free to attend.
